In the beautiful setting of Muralto’s lakefront, on Piazzale Burbaglio, the distinctive Fish Festival takes place.
In the beautiful setting of Muralto’s lakefront, on Piazzale Burbaglio, the characteristic Fish Festival takes place. The event, organized by the Sant’Andrea fishermen’s society, is a fun tradition that begins early in the morning with fishing competitions and then becomes a popular festival with music, entertainment and games for children. In case of rain, the Sagra will be postponed to one of the following Sundays.
The program includes:
06:30 start of the fishing competitions
10 a.m. start of the festival
10:30 a.m. Pro-restocking appetizer with “fried bleak and white wine”
12:30 p.m. lunch for fishermen and sympathizers with polenta and codfish
2:30 p.m. fishing competition awards ceremony
3 p.m. Distribution of fried bleak while supplies last.
Prices:
Polenta and cod / polenta and mortadella / polenta and gorgonzola: CHF 15.
Fried fish portion: CHF: 5.
