At 700 m above sea level on Mount Stella, which dominates the northern part of the village with its fearsome overhangs, and above the cellars carved partly into the rock rises the small church commonly known as San Nicolao, dedicated to the liberating virgin and St. Nicholas of Bari.

Roberto and Daniele decided one evening, over a glass of Merlot del Ticino, to set off on a new adventure.
Toward what destination? At Grotto Hermitage San Nicolao!
Enthusiastic and determined they embark on this journey of tradition, food and wine, and cultural history.
